CWC Textil trades with anything from traditional high-quality cotton yarns to organic and natural colour cotton®. Investing in organic and textile standards is a high priority and has been on our agenda ever since textile standards and certifications were implemented. Besides wool and specialty yarns, we also source synthetic and artificial yarns.

Cotton Yarns

Known as the “white gold”, cotton is the most used raw material in the textile industry. It is also the world’s most significant non-food agricultural product, covering around 2.4% of the world’s arable land.

Together with polyester, cotton is dominating the demand for fibres in textiles. With longstanding partnerships all around the world, we are developing and marketing a vast range of cotton yarns. Whether plain or doubled, gassed or mercerized, crepe or voile, we have the right product for most end uses.

Supima, Sea Island and Giza cotton mainly produce our premium cotton yarns—distinguished by an extra-long-staple (ELS) and fineness. Each variety boasts its unique advantages and allows for mixing based on specific requirements relating, for example, to cleanliness or technical parameters.

Our high-grade textile producers value Egyptian Giza and US Pima ELS cotton yarns. Giza yarns excel in strength and lack of imperfections while US Pima is very clean and contains almost no foreign fibres.

Other long-staple cotton yarns are mostly spun from local Indian and Chinese cotton, providing a favourable price point for an excellent product. Their qualities are primarily used in the production of delicate standard fabrics.

We also offer a distinct assortment of mid-staple (MS) cotton yarns for a wide range of end uses. Yarns spun with US/Australian cotton are suitable to produce white fabrics.

Organic Yarns

CWC was one of the first European importers to certify yarns from overseas production according to Oeko-Tex® Standard 100. Investing in ecological standards has been part of our journey since yarns can be certified. We will continue to invest in this area, always adopting the highest standards the market can offer.

Over the past years, we have been continuously expanding our range of ecological and organic yarns, and we are now in a position to offer them on all the different spinning systems. We are also able to blend organic cotton with polyester as part of our standard program of ecological products.

We, therefore, cover today’s most important standards for organic yarns. Namely, we are GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) and OCS (Organic Content Standard) certified. We are able to offer GOTS yarns from various cotton crops including varieties guaranteed for white. Including Open-End yarns, we can cover a count range from Ne 12 up to 140. Further, we are also holding the GRS (Global Recycle Standard) and RCS (Recycled Claim Standard) certificates for recycled products such as polyester. This allows us to offer Cotton/Polyester blends with all contents being certified to the highest environmental standards.

A significant milestone in the history of our company was the establishment of CWC ECO, offering a wide range of eco-friendly products from seed to finished goods.

The flagship of our ECO products is our Natural Color Cotton®. It is an exceptional and very environmentally friendly material. Without question, the most ecologically sustainable product presently available in the world. Natural Color Cotton® is organically grown in shades of green, brown, and beige. With Natural Color Cotton® beautiful, breathable, pure fabrics with a soft and delicate feel can be manufactured without the need for any toxic dyes. Thanks to these unmatched properties, we have further extended the Natural Color Cotton® range into end-consumer products.

Our range includes soft toys, bedding, and babywear made from Natural Color Cotton® under our label “The perfect start”. We are also developing additional products in cooperation with our buyers under their brand.

Synthetic & Artificial Yarns

To keep up with demand and match the growing diversification in the textile industry, we continuously invest and expand our assortment of synthetic and artificial yarns. It allows us to offer a comprehensive range of Polyester, Viscose, and Modal yarns in numerous blends, in single- and multi-fold.

We can supply these yarns from a diverse range of spinning systems such as Sirospun and Airjet-spun and specifically, Viscose Sirospun as finespun as Ne 80/2, producing exquisite fabrics.

CWC is also able to offer high-quality yarns made from MicroModal fibers. Modal fibers are natural in their origin being extracted from the cellulose of beech trees. Chemically processed and refined in a special spinning process the end product of the fibers is in no way inferior to cotton fibers. On the contrary, Modal fibers are known to be soft and do barely cause allergies. Especially in the underwear and lingerie segment MicroModal is becoming more and more popular and is being received very well.

We can offer 100% MicroModal qualities up to Ne 120/1 (Nm 200/1). In addition, we can offer MicroModal mélange or Indigo-colored yarns.

Wool & Specialty Yarns

CWC Textil has been exporting Swiss speciality worsted wool yarns to various countries overseas. These yarns are produced and finished with the latest technology to achieve exceptional quality standards.

Establishing a subsidiary in China and expanding our trade relations is allowing us to provide a wide range of yarns spun from natural raw materials.

Our vegan fibres such as bamboo and linen or animal fibres like cashmere, allow us to provide unlimited possibilities for producing beautiful yarns and fabrics. We can blend yarns/fibres with our organic and/or Natural Color Cotton®. We also produce a range of metallic yarns and elastic threads.
